Are They Real?
The characters in the Polonez series are real people. Try visiting Polonez Bar - 56 Hinckley Road, Leicester, LE3 0RB and see if you can work out who is who.I should added in "Who Cares About The Kids That Just Can't Spell" Aga has a son called Martin. Aga is real but I made Martin up and it was a pun on Aga's partner's name Marcin with whom she owns Polonez Bar.
Rebecca in "Cosmetic Engineering" is a real person though the poem is entirely fictional. Rebecca lives in Market Harborough and we have two fictional children together, Katy and Billy. Rebecca has real children of her own who have names that end in "ie". She is fond of names which end in "ie" which is why our fictional children's names end in "y". If they were real I don't think I would have got away with it. Katy is two years older than Billy.
Ben from Marketing gets around a bit and he has an unfloundering belief in the need for everything that is not essential. He single handedly powers the consumerist world.
The fictional Dave from "Mobility Scooter" currently owns a mobility scooter shop in Leicester's West End. He switches quite often though when trading standards catch up with him. He will sell you anything.
Ray, also from "Mobility Scooter" was stolen from the film 1979. Ray is a psychopath so doesn't have any moral problem selling a shooter to our battery powered hero. Ray is played by Kevin Morgan in 1979 who also stars in "Adieu Mankind".
